There are many ways you can help Coda deliver its unique music service to the local community and with our work in growing demand we need your help now more than ever. In 2011/12 we need to raise £20,000 to secure our future and while we work hard to secure grants from Trusts and Foundations we also need donations from individuals and business to survive.

With no core revenue grant funding to help us cover our running costs, our fee-paying students and funds raised for specific purposes have to help us meet our overheads. So we are very heavily reliant therefore on the goodwill of individual supporters to help us provide our unique services, from music therapy for disabled children, young people and adults to community outreach projects that are so highly valued in the local area.

Thank you for choosing to support Coda Music. All donations are very gratefully received and invested wisely to maintain, improve and extend our excellent standards both at the Centre and out in the community.

You can donate in several ways

A One-Off Donation

Coda Music welcomes donations in person by cash or by cheque and postal order made payable to ‘Coda Music Trust’. Alternatively you can post your donation to Coda Music Centre, Chewton Farm Road, Christchurch, Dorset BH23 5QL. (NB: Please see Gift Aid information below) or call our Chief Executive Phil Hallett to talk more.

Regular Giving

Just a small, regular donation to Coda Music can make a big difference to our ability to plan for and support the long-term development of our music services. You can ask for a Regular Giving Form or set up a standing order from your bank account by calling us on 01425 276161 or coming in to see us.

Join Coda's monthly lottery

The friends of Coda run a monthly lottery - not only can you give to Coda but you are also in with a chance of winning cash prizes at the same time! More details and an application form here.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a simple, tax effective way to support Coda Music directly from your pay. Why not get involved with the Coda Payroll Giving Scheme? Please contact Joel on 01425 276161 for more information.

Legacies

Leaving Coda Music something in your Will ensures that your support for our work continues even after you are gone. Please email your name and address to info@coda.org.uk and we will send you a Legacy Information Leaflet.

Make your donation go even further with Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a way to give money tax free to charity. If you pay income tax, Coda Music can claim back a further 28p for every £1 you donate from the Inland Revenue on any amount that you choose to give. Simply sign a Gift Aid Declaration and we will collect the income tax you have paid on your donation to invest further in our community services. Please contact Joel on 01425 276161 for more information.

Helping raise funds in your local community

Wherever you live there are lots of ways to raise funds towards our Music Therapy service which helps disabled people learn and communicate in so many new ways, and to our bursary fund to help individuals and families wishing to learn and make music and who do not always have the resources to do so.

Here are some ways you could help

Fundraising events

You could make Coda Music the beneficiary charity of a local fundraising event like a pub quiz, or a fete, or a concert, or a raffle or other event.

You could help us set up a special one-off event - like a sponsored walk or a sponsored music marathon – or even a special ‘dinner’.

You might be able to help us liaise with local businesses and companies and help us to negotiate some specific sponsorship from them for key aspects of Coda Music’s work.

Or – you might know a company or business that would be willing to donate time or resources to us ‘in kind’. There may even be scope for us to work with a volunteer in more depth around the whole concept of business relationship development – do get in touch with Coda Music if you might be interested.

If you wish to make a named donation, in person or of significant value then please feel welcome to contact us or visit.

Remember that if you do it in person we can apply for GiftAid, an extra 28p per quid, over 1/4 extra free from the government.

We will shortly be setting up a way to donate online so if you would like to donate via a Just Giving page or by pay pal please email us and we will re-direct you. Contact us now via email by clicking here
