Form and Findings Studio
Form and Findings Studio, established by designer and maker Rachael Mia Williams, MA FHEA, is an ethical jewellery studio offering supportive jewellery workshops and courses. These include half and full day workshops, and beginner and intermediate courses covering beading, silver clay and silversmithing techniques including stone setting and working with gold.
Rachael has 25 years experience as an educator and designer promoting inclusive learning and fostering collaboration. As Award Leader for the International Foundation Diploma in Art at AUB she taught across 3D Art, Craft & Design as well as Print, Drawing & Illustration. She enjoys helping people tap into their creativity to learn new skills, whilst creating an enjoyable and sociable learning experience. She is keen to help others set up their own personal and rewarding jewellery practice.
Rachael draws daily inspiration from the natural world. These landscapes shape her designs, alongside her love of allegory, poetry, and the unseen threads that connect us.
She says ‘I have always been drawn to jewellery, not just as adornment, but as a form of expression, memory, and connection. Jewellery has the power to enhance not only what we wear, but who we are. It can carry stories, emotions, and fragments of those who came before us.’
Rachael has an interest in the environment and the therapeutic nature of the outdoors practicing and supporting sustainable approaches in design and making. Her pieces are handcrafted using recycled precious metals, responsibly sourced stones (where possible) and found materials.
As an artist and forest school leader, Williams has also designed and delivered a range of arts and outdoor therapeutic programmes. Commissions and collaborations have included the Land Art Campaign for National Parks in the New Forest for 38 Degrees and a series of art and nature-based therapy programmes for Mind, Hampshire Cultural Trust, New Forest National Park Authority and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
