Sensory Seasons: A Creative Exploration of Autumn

Come and gather, crunch and swish your way through Autumn!
Join artists Emma Kerr and Heidi Steller for a playful, sensory exploration of the season. Studio 7 will become a cosy Autumn world to explore together – with a a cosy den, a canopy of falling leaves, and lots of things to gather, crunch, and swish.
As the days get shorter and the world begins to slow down, we’ll explore the softness of Autumn and the things we might do to get ready for winter.
Create with leaves and foliage
Make journey sticks and collages with warm Autumn colours and textures
Gather, draw and experiment with natural materials
Sing songs around our “campfire”, curl up in the den, or simply follow your curiosity and see where the season takes you
As always with Sensory Seasons, there is no right or wrong way to take part. The activities are invitations to explore rather than instructions to follow.
You can make something to take home, create alongside your child, or simply enjoy the experience of playing and experimenting together.
WORKSHOP TIMES: Please choose the session that best suits your family
Early Years slot, 10am – 11am: £10
For families with children up to 5 years old
Mixed-Age Quiet slot, 11.30am – 12.30pm: £10
For families who may benefit from a quieter experience, with less people in the space (5 families max.
Mixed-Age slot, 1.30pm – 3.30pm: £15
For a mixed age range of families (10 families max.)
Useful info:
Seating and quiet spaces available - you are welcome to take breaks at any point throughout the workshop
Accessible building - step free access, disabled toilets, disabled parking spaces
Free onsite parking
Café open 9am–4pm for lunches, tea, coffee & cake
All materials provided & aprons available - come prepared to get messy!
All children must be accompanied; families are responsible for their own health and safety
