Sensory Seasons: Summer Studio

£35.00

Sensory Seasons: Summer Studio, with artists Heidi Steller and Emma Kerr

Sat 15 August | 10am–1pm

Summer Studio is an invitation to rediscover the joy of making - without judgement, expectation or the pressure of an outcome.

Whether you're looking to pause, spark inspiration, or simply have the permission to play, you'll be warmly welcomed. Teachers, carers, artists, makers, creatives and curious minds are all invited.

Inspired by the colours, textures, sounds and rhythms of Summer, we'll offer a collection of creative invitations to wander between at your own pace.

You might choose to explore:

  • Mindful meditation drawing

  • Painting and expressive mark-making

  • Sculpting with natural materials

  • Observational drawing

  • Poetic and reflective prompts

  • Seasonal sensory explorations

  • Quiet moments of noticing, making and simply being

There is no right or wrong way to take part - it’s about process rather than product.

Arrive from 9.15am for tea, coffee and a gentle welcome.

Bring a picnic if you'd like to stay afterwards for a relaxed lunch together in the meadow (weather permitting).

Because we all deserve time to play…

Every time we run a Sensory Seasons session for families/schools, parents, carers and teachers ask us the same question: "When are you going to do one for adults?"

So... here it is.

At Coda, we believe play isn't something we outgrow. It's how we explore, connect, imagine and restore ourselves. Yet somewhere along the way, many of us stop giving ourselves permission.

This is a gentle creative retreat - a chance to step away from everyday demands, slow down, gather with like-minded people and experience the calm that comes from becoming completely absorbed in making.

Come as you are.

Leave feeling lighter, inspired and more connected to yourself, to others and to the season around you.
